It Started with a £30 Kit

Clyne's Candles was born in 2020 during lockdown. Like so many people, I found myself at home with time to think, create and experiment. I picked up a simple £30 candle making kit — not really knowing what I was doing — and fell completely in love with the process.

What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. I tested endlessly, experimented with different waxes, fragrance loads and wicks, and slowly started to get it right. Friends and family were my first guinea pigs — and their encouragement gave me the confidence to take it further.

A Pause, and a Return

Like all small businesses, our journey hasn't been a straight line. I took a short pause during pregnancy — but returned to the business when my son was 18 months old, more determined than ever.

Coming back to Clyne's Candles felt like coming home. I threw myself into growing it properly — refining the product range, improving the scents, and building something I'm genuinely proud of.

Handmade in Kirriemuir, Scotland

Today, every single product is still handmade by me from my home in Kirriemuir, a small market town in the heart of Angus, Scotland. I make everything in small batches to ensure quality — no mass production, no cutting corners.

Kirriemuir might be a small town, but it has a big heart — and I like to think that spirit goes into every product we make.

Luxury Fragrance Without the Price Tag

Our speciality is designer-inspired fragrances — the kind of scents you'd find in high-end perfumes and luxury candles, but at prices that don't make your eyes water. We believe everyone deserves a beautifully scented home, not just those with a designer budget.

Every fragrance is carefully chosen and tested to make sure it performs — strong scent throw, long-lasting, and true to the original inspiration.
